In April, Signature Controls expanded into the Louisville, Kentucky market. This was a great opportunity for the company as the expansion was an easy add-on to the Northern Kentucky market that was already being serviced.

Starcomm was dissolved and Signature Control Systems absorbed its services in to their offerings.

P3 was sold to Controlled Product Systems Group.

Dan Floyd stepped down as President and CEO of Signature Control Systems LLC. Dan Floyd is still very much involved serving as Founder, Vice President of Business Development. Jon J. Bowsher has taken on the leadership of Signature Control Systems, serving as the company’s new President and CEO. Signature Control Systems LLC is in the process of implementing a growth plan that will propel the company to new heights.

P3 expanded its operations into the northeast with the acquisition of North East Gate Operator Supply Company on Long Island, NY

The company founded Perimeter Protection Products LLC(P3) in Columbus. P3 distributes products and parts to vehicle access control and security specialists throughout the midwest

The Company opened its in-house component level repair operation (Repair Center) to provide board level repair for all of our products allowing us to reduce turn-around time on repairs by 90%. The company has expanded this business segment to include multiple repair stations.

Signature Control Systems acquired a majority interest in Access Control Systems LLC with operations throughout Tennessee. ACS, founded by Steve Haley of Nashville, has offices in Nashville, Memphis and Knoxville, TN and in Lexington, KY. In addition to offering the same types of service and products as Signature Controls, ACS is a proven security integrator and covers all of Tennessee and parts of Mississippi, Arkansas and Kentucky.

For eight of the past 12 years between 1988 and 1999, Signature Controls was the number One Distributor in the nation for Federal APD parking equipment. And, the company has finished in the top five since 2000. Federal APD is one of the world's largest parking equipment manufacturers and is a division of Federal Signal Corporation.

Signature Control Systems became affiliated with the Crane Group, a family owned company that has founded several successful manufacturing/service companies in Columbus, Ohio, and Robert J. Schmidt, a Crane manager and investor with Crane, Floyd and Winholt, joined the company. Signature has continued to grow in its scope of operation and geographically since that partnership was formed.

Larry DeRusha retired and the fire alarm product lines were subsequently discontinued

Signature expanded it's product and service offering to include perimeter vehicle access solutions including automated sliding and swinging gate and associated access controls.

Signature Control Systems LLC was founded in 1987 by Dan Floyd, Kevin Winhold and Larry DeRusha. Signature Control Systems was originally committed to providing system solutions for the Parking Industry and fire alarm system solutions to the commercial and industrial markets.

Mike Tominc and Signature Controls used sound system specifications and technology to accurately identify the distance sound would travel, the impact the sound would have reflecting from the building and worked well within our budgetary constraints. I would highly recommend Signature Control to anyone considering a home security system. They were recommended to me in 2010 after our house was struck by lightning. Our security system was permanently disabled. When we phoned the alarm company we were using at the time, they informed us they wouldn't be able to come out to evaluate the system for 7-10 days. I called Signature Control and Mike Tominc was out the next day. They installed a new system promptly, it is easy to use, and we have not had any problems with the installation or the monitoring service.

Signature always gets our repairs back to us quickly and is very thorough, which makes a huge difference to our customers. For me, good communication with the technicians is the most important thing. Anytime we have an issue we can contact Signature, get the technician on the line, and they will walk us through the installation to resolve the problem. Their technicians always go the extra mile to get all the information and get to the root of the problem.

I just wanted to let you know Dan did an excellent job yesterday working with Niscayah and looking over CCHMC's remote for the high profile doctor. The other guys that have been sent out have also done an excellent job but Dan seemed to really be engaging to the issues at and stayed the whole day to work with Niscayah in making sure the tires were landed correctly, along with the function of the gates/readers.
